Ramadhan Flowery Bento present Kolak Pisang

It's Fasting Month. Happy Ramadhan Mubarak.....

Today is 7th day we do fasting period. Hope my lil' family can do it until Idul Fitri. After working time, i must prepare some food for our breaking fast. Go to the Afternoon big market in order to get fresh vegetable, fresh tofu and tempeh and fresh fish. I cooking in the afernoon and it must not to be a specially food, just a simple food like usual but can make my family feel fresh after fasting a half day.

My husband really like spinach and fresh corn, so i made fried corn fricadel and gravy spinach a.k.a Bobor Bayam for him. So Yummy Tummy!!!!!

and it's friends are rice, fried tempeh, tuna fish, papaya and pineapple.

Beside that, i made some appetizer that commonly made in Indonesia and it's Kolak Pisang ^.^   Are you ever made it? It's so delicious if our eat it after do fasting LOL. This is  the recipe if you want to made it for your familly and i called it....................................................................

Kolak Pisang  ala Oen

Ingredients:

-            1 pieces      Screwpine leaf (pandan leaf)

-            350 gram    Sugar (if you want more sweet, you can add it)

-            150 gram    Toddy Palm Fruit (Kolang-Kaling)

-            5 pieces      Sweet jackfruit

-            15 pieces    Sweet bananas

-            3 liters         Coconut milk (milk squeezed from coconut)

-            1/2 teaspoon Salt

Directions:

1.         Cut half each kolang-kaling if desire, if not, leave it as its natural round, put into the boiling pan as well (without the water) and boiled it until well done then drained it.

2.         Tie knot the screwpine leaf and add it into coconut milk in the other  pan then boiled it with small fire stove.

3.         Peel the banana skin, make small cuts and place in the boilin.

4.         Then add sugar, salt and tender drained kolang-kaling into the boiled coconut milk.

5.    Bring to boil everything inside the pan until become tender, taste the it. And if its sweet enough for you, turn off the stove.

Cinamoroll with Black Ears.....

Well Done!!!! In the end of this month i've made this bento for my Pap lunch. So long i never made any bento because of i've got a terrible cold allergy and it so annoying me at night. This weather make me cough and croup during 1 month. so tired T____T. In the other side, i must prepare some Hyperbaric Seminary as I'll be a consumption section and Alhamdulillah the 2 days Seminary goes success.

Today, i present my own Cinamoroll... i called it Cinamoroll with Black Ears hehehehe... i don't want made it totally white because i think it's ears can't be seen. I put nori on it's ears so you and me can differentiation between it's face and ears hohohohoho. I made vegetarian menu that my Pap asked to me... there is boiled spinach, fried tofu and sweet corn, spicy soy ketchup, rice, strawberry and steam banana.

Cutie Bear Bento

Tarrraaaaaaa..... yeah, i made this bento based on Suzy's Zoo Book hehehehe.... i use a bear mold from it to moulding rice which adding with some soy sauce. You know, how about my feeling today? i feel so bad because of i miss my Mom and we (me, my hubby with my pap) decide to go to my Mom grave.


Oh, yeah today i meet some patient on my hospital where i working at there who is very funny people. She is a mother with two little children. The doctor said that she got lung malignant tumor. Her husband work as a pedicab driver but her family looks very harmonious. She told me that if she laugh and smile with her lovely family, it can bringing down her pain.When her husband go to work, her children are sitting near her and told something which could make their mommy laugh and smile. Owh... it's so heartwarming..... T___T
And when i saw their family, i remember my family in the past, when we are still complete.....


So this morning my menu are, rice, fried tiny sea fish a.k.a ikan teri nasi, fried tofu, spinach for the vegie, sauce made with shrimp paste, and strawberry yummy

Matryoshka Bento

So sorry, i took a rest for a long time because i had a trip to my hubby cousin marriage a week ago. And you know, after that i got bad influenza, cough with fever as a bonus LOL. The doctor said that i too tiredness so i got those ill packet. 

When i browse at Little Bento House i saw a matryoshka food pick. Wew, i think this is rare, and i can't find it at any online shop. I impatient to wait that food pick too long, so i try to made this matryoshka. Do you know about Matryoshka? Yeah, Matryoshka is a traditional Russian doll made of wood and painted with colorful ornaments. This doll is one of the most popular souvenirs in Russia (in Wikipedia).

For the friend of this bento i made my favorite javanese menu. In Indonesian it's called " Empal Penyet". There are cucumber, boiled green vegie, sauce made with shrimp paste a.k.a Sambal Terasi and the last but not least is spiced and fried chunks of beef a.k.a Empal Daging.

Wew...it's Saturday morning. After got two days off, today i going to work again and yesterday is off again. Owch...why the holidays didn't came coinciding so i can take a rest for a long long time or make a little of vacation with my Abi. so i made this bento based from my BFF uncle who has a carrot garden.

Her uncle have a heavy mustache so i tried to made a mustache from nori hahahahahaha...... today i'm cooking some vegie soup which i put on my Suzy Zoo's Silicon Mold just for a photograph and when i bring it to my office, i change it in some little airtight box. The menu are like usual, a simple food such as fried tofu, flower cucumber, broccoli, fried tofu, edamamme, meat simmered in spices and coconut milk a.k.a Rendang daging and some strawberry.

This is just a bit of story about how i fallin love with BENTO.  Formerly i saw some Bento Blog of  Lia Chen, her bento tools are very cute, beatifull, and attracted me to bought like her. She made a wonderfull bento for her little children. At that day i promises to myshelf that i won't stop to collect all of Disney Puncher sets that she had. Yeah, i want to collected it and here they are..... hahahahahaha

owl bento

last thursday  i hear an owly voice in front of my house tree when i was in the kitchen for cooking our dinner.  nobody at home at that time, just only me. i'm a little bit affraid when hear it. wondering about everything happen like at the ghost movie hiiiii...... -__-! so, after cooking i decide to looking for it and i amazed when i saw a cute little owl perched on a branch. the colour is browny.

but, it giving me inspire to make an owl bento for my dad. try to make a brown owly. i gave some ketcup to browning the rice and make wings, noose, eyes, feet, and feather from cheese and nori. for the side round box i put stirgreen vegie, barbeque shrimp sauce, and fried tofu.

My bff told me that her lil' boy didn't want to eat like usual. She don't know why... and she asked me how to increase his appetite. when she saw my bento and attracted to it she asked me again how to buy mold, food cutter and cute food pick that i had. so i told her that i bought it at many of online shop, and got it on Facebook or Multiply.

Okay, Atha.... aunty Oen make a ship bento for you, dear. This is the story for accompanying while you eat :
dear, look how the sailorman row the ship and you can see that fishs are smiling at you while you eat. "Come on, eat my body ", said the crab stick and rayfish together. Oh, that's a steam corn coral, watch out!!!! don't bump it. Let's eat that steam corn so you unnecessary bump your boat. Hurraaaayyyyy..., you can trought the sea and mummy give you a kiwi fruit and sweetened red cherry as a present for a Great Sailor, that is you Atha.....

javanese bento "pecel" in the morning

a simple bento, again and again because i have not much time to make it in my rush morning. yesterday my grandma gave me bananas from her garden when i pick her up to control her heart disease to cardiologist. and i fried the bananas with a little of margarine and you know, it's so delicious.....hmmm....yummy....

a half hour is so meaningful for me. now, my hospital make a new rule. before May, they still gave grace period about a half  hour before 7o'clock, but now they didn't compromise all of their employee who had getting late even if just one second. Oh, God, it's mean that i must got to sleep early and wake up early too in the morning to prepare breakfast and lunch for me, my husband and sometime for my dad. and this monday, i started everything and you guess what???? i coming late ten minutes to the hospital T_T. but tomorrow i will try a new way to prepare our breakfast more early than this day. Hoping not get late tomorrow.

a failed turtle bento for my hubby, isn't ???????

hua.....i had the blues, this morning i can't wake up earlier so i can't make a pefect turtle bento that i expect before, hiks..hiks...hiks... . i said it failed because i can't make a back motif for my turtle. i'm so sorry my sweety little turtle, someday i will make you better than this one. but in the other side, my husband really excited when he know that his lunch box is a turtle bento although it not to good for me. but like a child, he said to me " Mum, i will show my lunch box to all of my friend in the office. i will make them told that your bento is really cute " hahahaha..... he always find much way to make me smile and then laugh. thanks my Hubby.... i really luv you....

three days ago..my packet was came. i bought three box belt from mbak za and pak woyo. when i open the packet and saw it, my heart melted immediately. it's so cute.... ^,^ FYI, before i bouhgt this belt, i always use ribbon or a rubber LOL.

haihoooooo it's saturday now, the day that i don't want to go anywhere. just stay at home, watch the tv or with my husband actually and sometimes with my dad too if he came to my house to spend his weekend and stay with us for a night. now i made two mushroom character just for me. i naming my mushroom are

today is tired day... because my room already move to the new one, hoah.... but i'm happy at finally we have a place to do nutrition consultation. All of our office equipment moving at one day and until now it has not finished yet. tomorrow i must finished it again.... T_T
a couple day ago i promised my friend Nia to made her a lunch bento because she's feel unhappy. she hooded red and white. i hope she's satisfied and being happy soon so we can chit chat like usual hohohoho ^,^ ...... oia, after see the carrot flower of Mbak Tata, i atractted to try make it (thx, Mbak Ta).

stripes, stripes, stripes

positive....negative....positive....negative..... huah, i'm really be fed up with my test pack. Negative Again... and again... when it must change with the positive one??? Oh, God... i really do want two stripes in my test pack result. and today i  just make some stripes bread. just much stripes hahahaha....red berry bread, cheese bread and chocolate milk bread, sweetened red cherry, and some colourfull candy. i hope later i will got my two stripes. the two stripes indeed is a baby come with me.

Trial Snoopy Bento

wedew.... in a rush morning show i made this bento. prepared and cooked all in hurried. when the clock at 6.30 am, my kitchen looks like a broken ship hahahaha.... but thanks God, you send me my husband. He helped me cleaned my kitchen, throw the rubbish, washing my bento and kitchen tools... yes, Kangmasku , it's called partner in bentoing LOL.... that's why i luv you hunny bunny tutty fruity ^,^

" fur caterpillar "

Have you ever know at Probolinggo, East Java now already happen fur caterpillar rain. so i made this bento when i saw on the tv that many fur caterpillar descend upon house roof, on the wall, ground and all of people in ten village must used umbrella when they leave their home. and if fur caterpillar have contact with skin person, it could make itch. i can't imagine when it happen to me  <...tickled...>

I hope they can through it, and goverment can save the situation  ^_^

yippi.... finally i can show you my first bento hohohohohoho. i made it in the short morning when i must to hurry go to hospital. when my mom is died three years ago, i always sent a breakfast and lunch for my dad so i made it just for him, much hope he loved it.

box : rice, fried stand shrimp, lettuce, carrot for the  wings and fish, wave tofu, yummy strawberry, salak fruit, stars jelly, and some vegie are mushrooms, carrot, broccoli and of course a small tofu. i don't  made tofu at a gorgeous shape cause i really have not time.
